Ball Presentation Wind-Up

Start with the ball out of the glove.
Right-handers keep the ball in their right hand, left-handers in their left hand.
The hands then come together and stay together.
- The pitcher has to start her pitch. If the ball comes back out of the glove for any reason, it will be called as an illegal pitch.
Keep the next movement simple - a push is easiest.

Coaching Tip

A pitcher can start however she likes. Usually the ball is on one side of the body and the glove on the other side. Bring both hands together, or rather ball and glove together. Then your player can begin her motion. Once her hands come together, she must not separate before beginning her motion.
