Coach Nick Giaquinto: Now, we're going to work on double play feeds with the shortstop. On this feed, he's going on his right into the hole, and he's going to have to make a backhand play. There will be two techniques that he's going to use. One of them, if he has to really extend himself, he has to step across his body with his left leg and make the play. The other one is, if it's not as far, he might not have to step across, and he can just play it off of his right foot. So, we'll demonstrate both ways to do that.

I'll step off to the side and roll Coach Kaplan some ground balls. Ready, Coach? On that play, Coach Kaplan stepped across, extended himself, and then brought his right foot across to plant on it. Let's see it again.

That ball's not as far out, so he doesn't have to step across, and he can just play it off of his right foot. One more. Those are our double play feeds from the shortstop, when he's going to his right.
