Coach Bob Schurtz: The first thing we're going to talk about, with the fundamentals of basketball, is dribbling. Jordan's going to demonstrate for us how to stand and work on stationary dribbling. As he takes the basketball, we're going to concentrate on getting in a good position. He's going to bend his knees and get his body over the basketball. He's going to have a lead hand out in front, and protect with just dribbling in his right hand.
As we start, Jordan's in a good position. Well, now you'll notice, as he dribbles, he's going to concentrate on keeping the ball in his fingertips. This helps him have a better control as you dribble. That's a good job. You'll notice that as you get more and more comfortable dribbling the ball and keeping it on your fingertips, you're going to work on keeping your head up. This is going to enable you to see the whole floor. Good job, Jordan.
