Official Bill Sacco: That is a violation. Now, if you notice, I had my palm up for a violation. What Shaun did was, he grabbed the rebound and he swung his elbows, OK? By rule, since he did not make contact with anyone, that is a violation.
If he had – if he swings and makes contact with a player behind him – it can be one of two things. It could be a player control foul, since he's in control of the basketball and making contact with a player, or worse – it could be a flagrant foul, in which case he would have to be thrown out of the game.
So, swinging of the elbows, no contact, it's a violation – the other team gets the ball out-of-bounds at the closest spot to the violation.
