Dennis Hill: One of the most essential blocks of a good offensive line scheme is what we call the double team. In a double-team block, you have the great advantage of being able to overwhelm the defensive player by sending two men to block one person on the defensive line. Connor and Jake are going to demonstrate this technique in just a second and you'll see exactly what I mean when I say they will step together and they will bring their hips together. John, on the other side of the ball, will not be able to penetrate their double team. So remember the most crucial component of a good double-team block is that both of your offensive players step together and bring their hips together to create an impenetrable wall so the defensive player cannot fight through the double-team block.
