Paul Riley: One of the most important parts of the game is control. Today we are going to talk about thigh control. If you can control the ball, your team can get possession. When you control it with your thigh, there are a couple of things you have to remember. Number one is you have to keep your knee low. If you keep your knee high, the ball will come up and you will hit yourself in the head, so keep the ball nice and low. The ball comes in, control and drop it to your feet. The sooner you get the ball to your feet, and on the floor, the sooner you can play.

Here's a nice simple drill for thigh control. You're going to check into your partner, nice soft touch on the thigh, lower the knee. Well done. Again, control, down. Make sure you work both legs. Arianna, touch right, drop it down, well done. Keep your knee low, touch and volley, beautiful, Arianna. Well done. Now, Bridget, in you come, touch and lay, don't let that ball pop up on you. Good keep it nice and low, drop it down and play it. Out backwards and in forwards half, sharp touch and play. Make it good one, drop it down, play it, now finish it off, touch and volley. Great stuff, Bridge.

Remember with your thigh control, make sure you don't keep your knee high or this is what can happen and you'll lose control of the ball. Drop it down, keep your knee nice and low and just drop it to your feet. Good luck with it.
