Carlos Restrepo: The next move we're going to show is called the Oklahoma stand-up. This stand-up is typically used when the top wrestler is continually controlling the bottom wrestler's arm, the inside arm. Once that arm is being controlled continuously, the bottom wrestler has to do something different in order to get out and that's when this move allows the bottom wrestler to clear the arm in order to execute the stand-up. At this point, we are going to show you and walk you through it. \
The Oklahoma stand-up is also used in a referee's position and used off the whistle. When the referee blows the whistle, the bottom wrestler clears the arm on the whistle and follows through with the leg. So on the whistle, I clear the arm, follow through with my leg and catch the arm that was holding on to my elbow. Once I have control over that arm at the wrist, I'm in good position here, I have to still apply pressure backward, and now I'm going to look to switch that wrist that I have into my free hand, put it in my back pocket and this point I can begin to stand up and start pressuring back to cut out and free myself of his hold. That's the Oklahoma stand-up, emphasis on clearing the arm, getting the hand control and cutting out.
